Define Statistics.
Statistics is a mathematical science in which we deal with the collection, presentation, analysis, and interpretation of data.

Write down the branches of statistics.
There are two branches of statistics.
i. Descriptive Statistics
ii. Inferential Statistics

Define descriptive statistics.
A branch of statistics in which we deal with those methods that can be used in the collection, presentation, and analysis of data.

Define inferential statistics.
A branch of statistics in which we deal with those methods that can be used in making decisions about the population based on sample.

Define estimation.
A procedure to obtain an estimate for the unknown value of the population parameter based on sample is called estimation.
