I got some beautiful Kin Matsuba by breeding a male ogon doitsu Yamabuki with a female gold Chagoi Ginrin

My gin rin ki matsuba had a beautiful yellow head, yellow and white on the sides of it, black down the spine. Now its head is turning white. Why? :( its not sick at all, just color is fading. My koi was the color of the koi at 1:44 in this video. Its still very young, only 6-7" long.

I have a ki matsuba that I bought when it was very small and it was very beautiful until it developed big shimis.
I am hoping the shimi will get smaller in comparison to it’s size as it grows but I am not sure this will happen lol

Ki matsuba is a breed which never appealed to me even once. But that said, maintaining a vivid yellow color that does not turn orange can usually be achieved by soft to semi-soft water pond frequently exposed to open sunlight (or at least that is effective for Izumiya's yellow ogons).

If there is sumi under the skin, it will come up with age correct? Or is that a rule for other types of koi? Will the grey sumi on its head come thru? My wife loves them with lots of black, we bought a pretty one but shes disappointed that there isnt a lot of black. I told her, all those light grey spots will come up black. Am i right? I hope so lol

What has light (Hikarimono) is Kin Matsuba. Is the mistake spreading because of this post? You better correct it now and make an announcement, because it could spread like GOROMO and be irreversible.
