Build Shaker Cabinet Doors With Table Saw | New to Woodworking?

In today's video I'm going to walk you through how to build a Shaker cabinet door with a table saw. If you're new to woodworking, then you know what it's like not to have the tools you want or think you need. That's why I wanted to do a video demonstrating a way to build Shaker cabinet doors without a router table, special bits, or a dado blade, but by using the standard 10 inch blade in your table saw.

Not only are you a skilled carpenter, but you're a great teacher. Fantastic pace, detailed without being overwhelming, and tailoring to the beginner without being condescending. One of the best instruction videos I've seen and I've been a teacher for 20 years. Thank you for teaching me! Oh, and your shirt is cool.

Not only are you a good "craftsman", but a good teacher. A good teacher knows his stuff while relating the need to work safe. Perhaps the most important aspect of "teacher talent" is this fact. It's okay to make mistakes. They are inevitable, they are for learning, and they can be overcome. Great job "teacher".

After trying to hunt around forever to find a good price on some cabinet doors, you made me realized I already owned everything I needed to do it myself. Excited to give this a try!

Thank you for keeping it simple and getting right to the point. I need a higher cabinet base and didn't want to have to pay a fortune on custom cabinets.

THIS VIDEO WAS PERFECT!! I'm building out a skoolie. I'm a beginner with all the tools but little knowledge. Thank you so much! I feel so much more confident after this video.

Used this video to completely redo the cabinet fronts in our conversion van. We had very minimal table saw experience prior but thanks to this video and your excellent teaching skills they came out wonderful. Thank you so much!

I forgot to mention that I used Poplar (you can also use Maple) for the styles and rails, and I used Birch plywood for the panels.

I forgot to say that I watched several different videos on making shaker doors and chose yours because it was so easy to understand and follow.

There are some very good trades folks on YouTube. You are by far at the top tier. What I like about your videos are that they are no nonsense and practical. You get straight to the point without a lot of fluff. You also have a teaching spirit- you clearly are a professional and an expert YET you make the viewer feel very comfortable allowing us to ease into the lesson. Not everyone does that. I've learned a ton from your videos. Please keep producing!

Been wanting a new table saw, had mine since the 80’s. Great reason to buy one since I’m going to redo the kitchen cabinet doors.

THANK YOU!! I was feeling really overwhelmed and thinking that I would be struggling greatly to make these without all of the tools. You made all of the steps so easy to follow. Thank you for making this video.

I was down in my workshop, looking over all the bits for my handheld router that I've never used, trying to figure out how to build doors like this. I came back to the computer to get a lesson, and now that you showed me, I'll go use the table saw. I'm already a little bit comfortable using it, and you gave me enough information to do this project. Thank you!

WOW Someone teaching CRAFTMAN ship. In the days of pocket screws and disposable everything, a craftsman is so nice to see. Well done Sir.

Thank you, for being clear and concise. And also acknowledging that not everyone who watches diy videos have the budgets for professional tools. BTW, you are an awesome teacher...you provided options in making shakers doors. Cheers!!

Damn bro, that was a sweet video!! That was artful woodworking. I'm planning to redo our 2008 vintage cabinet fronts with this type of style. Thanks for showing me how to make a tenon on my table saw!!
