This is actually really clever. Gambit’s whole schtick is about realizing potential. His power literally converts potential energy into something powerful. Having him be a character that has immense potential in him, but only allowing him to tap into it briefly, is directly related to his power

So basically Gambit COULD be an Omega + level mutant, but he doesn't WANT to be.

That explains a lot about him

Gambit from the 90s X-Men Cartoon is one of my favorite mutants

Gambit is one of the most under appreciated mutant in marvel. I love him and I hope we get to see him in the MCU once they introduce the X-Men

The playground theory in the 90's was always that Gambit could, given enough time, charge a planet and blow it up. Good memories.

Gambit such an underrated character... Whoever did Deadpool needs to make a Gambit movie.

The ability to stay relevant outside of the 1990s 😂😂

I can convert potential energy into kinetic energy.

Gambit deserves a prominent role in the X-Men movies. Hopefully in the new trilogy, his character is introduced.

So Gambit was nerfed or else he would be too OP. I like that. They had to cut his powers so he wouldn't easily beat everyone.

I hate how Gambit is SO overlooked not just by fans, but also by writers.
Gambit's powers, even when they are limited to their normal level, have so much potential. Not only can he charge any non organic object, he can put a time delay on it.
All he would have to do is walk through a place without his shoes on and he could charge the entire building with energy and set it to blow once he leaves.

1.7M Views, 1.7M Subs. Perfectly balanced as all things should be.

it's in gambit's character to simply reject the label of omega level power. he doesn't want power. he runs and keeps running. for the sake of lore, he is omega level, but he can and will always reject that power to keep his freedom.

"but FOX is probably gonna screw him up" no truer words have been spoken😂😂

Gambit doesn't want his abilities to go out of control because he regrets his seedy past and all of the wrongs he committed, and he has a feeling he knows what he is capable of and is afraid of the scope. When professor X took him in without judging him for his crimes he felt a catharsis and honed his self-control. That might be the coolest aspect about him.

Forgot to mention his subtle mind control power. He can essentially influence people's thoughts via his gaze as long as they aren't aware of his ability to do so. Once people are aware of his "hypnosis" style gaze, it becomes powerless. It's a weird random extra ability he has

Since the 90s cartoon Gambit has always been my favorite, there is nothing I want more than for Gambit to get a good movie, and become more well known and popular. also wolverine but i think everyone loves wolverine he is just that kind of character the way he is written, an depicted in the cartoon and movies.

So he basically could’ve been the marvel version of dr. Manhattan

I've been a huge Gambit fan since I first saw him in the '92 animated series and I you just made me a bigger fan of his. You pieced that together very well, I would have never thought he ought to be considered an omega level. Nice video!!

I love Gambit. He has always been my favorite X-man. I feel like he could, at full power, finally touch Rogue.
