I think it's time for Lee Yong Dae to step it up for a Kings Cup (Men's Doubles). I know that he is busy with Wonderplay but he is one of the greatest doubles players to promote the sport!
There is so much potential in Badminton - I am also looking forward when there are also a Queen, Queens and a Mixed Cup in the future!

I predict Lin Dan has major sponsors ready, he'll launch 2-4 big events per year, 16-32 participants with large prizes
Which will then make it a "Grand Slam" of sorts each year
Probably there will be an invite and an open system for each event.
That would be exciting
There's no reason badminton can't be as big as tennis, besides mismanagement so let's see what LD can do

Easy for Lin Dan to attract sponsors for any event he wants to create. Those retired tabletennis players should start considering this as well in view of the current WTT situation.

Without a proper hawkeye system and neutral international umpire, service and line judge. King cup is going nowhere. Just saw last night's final between antonsen and chinese player (forgot his name), last match point was bad. Props to the chinese player for sportsmanship.

Would watch this! Thanks for the info, knew nothing about it. Several things annoy me about BWF (from a youtube watcher perspective), the inadequate rest time (give players an extra day off), the spinning log that frequently obscures something on court, the inability to even ask BWF a question. 🤷‍♂
