By the time of this match, Axelson wasn't nobody. He was already world No. 1 and LCW is on the verge of retirement. But still, LCW won it so effortlessly. The skill difference is insane. Lindan and LCW's era is at a different level.

Lin Dan and LCW era is the badminton equivalent of Ronaldo and Messi rivalry, all of them are the best of their time and the following generation lacks what they have

LCW is still a force to be reckoned with, even at 35, his skill is amazing and far superior than today's youngsters

Man whenever i see lakshya sen play, i get flashbacks of my legend lee chong, brother they look almost identical in build and the playing style is insanely similar. Future is extremely well for lakshya, hoping for an olympic gold.

Now axelsen champion of 2024 Paris Olympic. Man had meet ld, lcw, prime chen long and prime momota. That's why he so dominant today. He learn a lot from his match against theses legends. Basically axelsen is the most lucky player ever in badminton history. Not everyone had it's chance. Momota had accident and chen long prime is short

I say it everywhere. LCW Lin Dan no.1 and 2 all time. Unless new no.1 and 2 arise... badminton singles is a thing of the past. Its entertaining to see new styles but when we speak GOAT only LCW and Lin Dan will be in the talk.

U can't match LCW and Lin Dan in term of positioning (Cheng Long too)...they were so good on that which the reason why the opponent struggle to beat them...they create their own move so that the opponent with indeed send the shuttle to exact place that they want...that's their speciality...miss LCW so much...
