I have to say, for maps in Russia we use a different app rather than Google maps. Yandex is a big tech company that dominates Russian segment in many spheres, as well as maps. Yandex maps have 3D buildings, the CIS team might have used that for help and reference.

Lots of inaccuracies in your research, but nice video overall.

Some of the mistakes and corrections:
1:54 Lenin's body in not on display in this building. What you're looking at is St. Basil's Cathedral
5:05 Zelenograd is not a Principality, I have no idea where you got that from. Zelenograd is an administrative district of Moscow.
5:16 Zelenograd was never a closed city, you can find plenty of soviet-era photos from it and anyone could just go there by bus or a commuter train.
13:22 This is the Kazan Cathedral Mosque which is going to be built irl in the coming years.
22:23 Probably not a mistake and pippen just wanted to showcase everything done by teamcis, not just Russia. Вut still, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, etc. are not part of Russia.

That's probably not all, but that's what I have noticed.

just a little note that "Rostov-na-Donu" at 17:05 (a direct transliteration of the russian) as said in the video is more commonly translated as "Rostov-on-Don" just for anyone that wasnt sure they were the same

imagine doing one of those zombie modpacks on the literal 1:1 earth- would be particularly amazing if someone could figure out a way to algorithmically 'ruin' buildings and add in extra details like abandoned cars and loot

As someone who was born in Norilsk and was twice in that Oganer hospital I really appreciate what team CIS has achieved. However I want to clear up few things about Norilsk. First of all, Oganer doesn't have these unfinished buildings anymore since their demolition which took place in 2021. Second, the best way to get accurate representation of what Norilsk looks like today is by using 2GIS because Google maps doesn't have much up to date info. Thanks for your attention!

Literally *JUST TODAY* I was browsing the wikipedia pages of Russian Architecture and Moscow in general and I thought _''Damn, how cool would it be if they made a 1:1 replica of Russia in Minecraft!''_ Talk about a perfect bloody timing! I am a GIGANTIC fan of Soviet (Especially Stalinist) architecture and I have to say, the Team CIS has REALLY done them justice! That rendition of the Moscow State University *2:27**, * which I believe to be one of the greatest masterpieces of Architecture, is absolutley phenomenal.

It became sad because Novosibirsk was given only 15 seconds in the video, but it is included in the Guinness Book of Records as the fastest growing city with a million inhabitants and the third city in Russia by population, where the longest metro bridge in the world is located, where the most titled wrestler of the planet - Alexander Karelin lived, where the largest opera and ballet theater in Russia is located, where the longest straight road in the world - Red Avenue - passes, and where the longest river in the country - the Ob - flows. .... I just love my city and it is a shame when it is

1:51 Unfortunately, you are mistaken. Lenins body lies in the Mausoleum very close to the Saint Basils Cathedral which you are showing. Type "Lenins mausoleum" and you will find out what it looks like

18:00 "dates back to 7th to 8th century bc, though none of the people who lived at that time are still alive to confirm this" lmao
