I really don't understand Bri's pushback to the idea that cutting staff helped make Twitter break even (or at least get closer). There are very few companies out there for whom payroll isn't the biggest item in their budget. This is absolutely true for tech companies like Twitter, where they have very well paid staff, and very few materials costs. I can't imagine the world in which these layoffs didn't substantially drive down operations costs for Twitter.

They both fail to understand the significance of what Elon is saying in regards to "Woke" ChatGPT. The problem is not the content of what it is saying but the fact that it is being trained to lie. Creating systems that are skilled in lying to us is a significant step down the road to more advanced AI's causing great harm. We do not understand how these systems work as it is and adding additional level of obfuscation makes it even more difficult.

Before elon musk Twitter was being propped up, when elon took over all those props fell out and elon had to make it either break even or profitable. Hence he laid off much of the staff and cleaned up much of the users as many of them were bots. That is a rough transition for anybody I'm surprised he was able to keep it afloat.

What a bad take lol. The company was loosing $200 million per year. By getting rid of 75% of people the other 25% will have secure jobs.
