Assassin’s Apprentice is definitely worthy of that spot! I can’t believe I still haven’t continued in the series. I’m gonna need to reread it!

Oscar Wilde and Bad Business made my top reads too! I did 15 and didn’t want to rank them other than my very favorite in each section… I’m so indecisive 🤷🏻‍♀️
I gave pretty much the same reason for OW’s stories making it! That Buddy Read was my favorite of the year!

So fun! I have had Before the Coffee Gets Cold on my tbr for a couple years, now I really want to read it soon! And Robin Hobb, too!

So as you may be able to guess from our other comment chats through the year, my #1 book this year was Golden Son 😍. Every book in the trilogy was in my top 10, but Golden Son was my absolute favorite.

I had mixed feelings about The Mysteries of Udolpho but I did find Emily to be a great character and I especially loved her relationship with her father! I loved the writing as well but I personally would have preferred it to be 100+ pages shorter 😂

Catching up on your videos and this was such a delight to watch!
I loved hearing all the Emily of Deep Valley love!!
I too really was blown away by The Happy Prince and other stories and several made me cry.
That's really interesting to hear your thoughts on The Mysteries of Udolpho. I had a similar slow-to-start reading experience with Man and Wife by Wilkie Collins and was so glad I stuck with it.
