Honey was so full of life, Crackerjack seemed a sweet and charming young man, Beatrice was a little sweetie of her own
It really seemed like Joseph liked his family a lot, sure he interrupted the song and all but since when is someone evil for reminding someone that time is of the essence
he liked Honey’s sassy side, they were so lovingly playful, and Joseph later says lobotomizing her was a regret

They seemed great, not perfect, my girl Beatrice deserved her freezie pop, but all around happy family…

I do wonder if Honey loved Crackerjack as much as she loved Beatrice and would have spiralled into the exact same grief had Beatrice been the one to die and start ignoring Crackerjack, and she was just harsher on her due to the standards expected on women back then, or if she truly only preferred him and saw Beatrice only as a "pretty" distraction for when he wasn't there and deep down wished it was her, with how she doesn't pay attention to her one bit when he is here
