On this video and animation we explain the 2x4 mechanics on mixed dentition (phase I) with an eccentric bend on an .020ss wire.

The 2x4 mechanics (2 molars and 4 incisors 2-2 laced togethr) is a great tool to correct A-P, vertical and transverse malocclusions in mixed dentition, all with just with ONE eccentric bend.

First we level & align, wire progress and work with the .020ss wire.
The wire with the bend stays in the mouth until the permanent teeth 5,4 and 3 erupt.

Reevaluation of the case before phase II treatment.
