Installing Nvidia driver on Ubuntu 22.04

bro ... thanks so much for this video. I will explain why.
At minute 1:00 you deliver important information that is not out there when attempting to install cuda and tensorflow in ubuntu22.04. It is a little bit easy to deduce not to use the server version, but normally we are going to choose the "recommended" one. So, I lost so many trials installing nvidia cuda and tensorflow without knowing I was using the wrong driver. Once I saw your video and gave it a try, I managed to install cuda 12.1.1 with tensorflow and make it work with my GPU (GE Force RTX 3050). I almost surrendered to frustration of not getting it working well. My questions is, How did you get to know that it is the one without the "open" label?? was it trial and error? Hello. Hope you are doing well. I am using a virtual machine and when I click on the Additional Drivers there only 2 options. 1) Using open VMware tools for virtual machines hosted on VMware (GUI) form open-vm tools-desktop (open source) and 2) Do not use the device. Any suggestion to instal Nvidia driver? I am using a GEFORECE 4047. Thanks.

Hello man i got a nvidia GPU as well but it isnt getting recognized by my system (got two GPUs AMD and NVIDIA only my AMD is getting recognized)
so ive tried to install the driver that u r using in this video but it isnt avilable in my store is it because i didnt check smt during the installation of ubuntu? also when i look into additional drivers theres only one thing there and its not related to nvidia can u pls help?

I've just installed it but it glitch and doesn't work well with my GPU, it's RTX 3060 ti
Or if there's a way ti install something similar to the "additional drivers" package on debian so that I can run it and install the drivers the same way here.

What are the steps if there is no activities button? I tried searching drivers in the applications button but nothing was there that mentioned drivers

Thank you. This has always been where I gave up on linux. Just trying to get the dang Nvidia GPU driver installed. Tried it most recently with Fedora. I searched their app store or whatever. Found the nvidia proprietary driver with latest version number and clicked install (there was no "server" "open" etc). Rebooted and then after boot screen my monitor would just say no signal. So I gave up again. Next time I try to give linux a chance I'll use your vid. Thank you.
