As a Marine Corps veteran ( 1971-1975) myself... whose fought homelessness since 2012, I've felt abandonment and left behind like so many other veterans have been through. Yet, we have so much to offer threw our experiences. We know how to get things done... we know how to accomplish a task with minimal resources and rest assurred... we care about those suffering. I volunteered for Katrina relief as a medical team leader in 2005 for 26 days in S. Mississippi. Drove 1000 miles in my own vehicle with minimal funds from Michigan. Teamed with veterans there to get the job done! I will get down to those areas affected to give ( manual labor, support, supplies). Thank you young man for all you are doing and to all volunteers. Stay Strong and United!! Semper Fi!
