Hi, my name is Merrill Kazanjian. New York City is an amazing place to go metal detecting. We have lots of parks, colonial history and great beaches for beach detecting. I have gone to all five boroughs of New York City To Metal Detect and beyond. I also currently own 16 metal detectors. I want to have the best and I want to help you choose the best as well. I am a treasure hunter. So in addition to metal detecting, I go mudlarking at sites such as Dead Horse Bay. Think of mudlarking as metal detecting without a metal detector.

My most important series is called Becoming A Millionaire Metal Detecting. I am trying to monetize my favorite hobby in order to do it more in the future. In other words, we put the clad we find in the ground, affiliate earnings, and merchandise earnings in to the stock market and we invest it. This show started in January 2019.

Just a FYI - I've been detecting for over 40 years now. Tried many detectors and became a Minelab guy with the E-Trac and Excalibur for scuba. I thought about upgrading technology recently and spoke with the Minelab repair guy. Told him I was thinking about the 800, he told me to stick with the E-Trac as it is truly the machine for most depth and great sound verification. I am interested in the Nokta also, wireless headphones and less weight would be great as I'm getting older...

Been swinging an 800 for 2.5 years now and it’s electronics are absolutely incredible. Truly a bench mark machine. When it’s tuned correctly it’s unbeatable.

A clock and the run time feature is needed especially if you hunt beaches with paid meters!!!! The run time is needed to know how many hours you put on the battery.

I can’t wait to see an honest review of this detector from you.

My main concern is how accurate and stable the VDI is, which is the ONLY negative thing I have to say about the Simplex +.

I’ve been swinging the 800 for almost as long as it’s been available then switched to the nokta for a few reasons the legend is on its way as soon as possible

I’m good without a clock or tracking my detecting time. It would probably make me rush knowing my time is getting shorter and shorter. I go to get lost from time and alerts. I’m in a relaxing zone cleaning and finding.

Glad I'm not the only one yelling to the tv during that video introduction. After 30 plus years of swinging and digging the marketing hype of detectors has no effect on me. They could of put a little more effort into keeping it realistic. With that said I have high hopes for the new machine. I will wait for solid trustworthy reviews by our YouTube heroes before clicking that kellyco CONFIRM ORDER box.

Merrill, I love the idea of a clock in my metal detector. I use to own an XP deus, and aside form the light weight, the clock is what I liked best about it. Sometimes I'm md'ing the beach, and I have to pay for parking by the hour, so the clock is nice. Sometimes I want to get on the freeway, before the traffic gets heavy, and the clock works there. Maybe I have an appointment and need to keep track of the time.

I don't know, because my buddy Bob has been metal detecting for over 45years, and he suggested that I purchase a Minelabs Equinox 800 for my starter machine. Because of its versatility, and longevity of expansion throughout my learning curve. Simply put, I should be able to use this machine throughout my learning experience, and well into the future.

I totally agree. I will get both the Deus 2 and the Legend and will see what the difference is.
