I have made string quilt, the blocks finish 6.25, how do decide on how wide to make the border. I have put a first border that finish 1 inch. I have watched a lot of your shows and have not seen this, if you have gone over it I have missed it. I enjoy watching your show very much, I watch some of them many times. I have learned a lot from them.

My question is, "How do I cut the strips out of fabric to make the borders?" Length or Width? Sew them across or Mitered?
