Thanks for the information. I’m doing a project in Florida using your pure yellow 6 inch and 4 inch and one of your 1/2 horse sump pumps systems. I have a lawn maintenance company in New Jersey. 70% of our complaints are from the mowers rutting up there lawns. Our response is turn your water off 2 days before we cut your lawn. There responses 99.9% of the time is I don’t know how to work my sprinkler clock. Now I have a new response, let me put in a affordable drainage system that does not have a “ expiration date “. I’m going to steal that saying (expiration date)..
If you are ever passing through New Jersey stop by and I’ll show you where I’m installing thousands of feet of that Bachman High octane or that pure solid yellow. I look forward to to doing a lot of business with you.

You mention the yard drain should be separate from the French drain due to the particulate that comes from the catch basins, but both drains empty into the same sump basin. Wouldn’t this result in particulate making its way to the sump basin?

I need your help or advice love the channel I’ve learned so much ! I’m doing a large fix of a dirt/slash DG driveway up to home about 400’ the previous owner put some uneven concrete along the hill side of the driveway which was a horrible way to try and control the water drain rushing across the road and eventually undermined the 200’ if concrete the road has no crown no ditch and is all sloped towards the hill I will fix that of course but want to put In French drains along road a culvert under the road in critical spots there is no drainage now it’s just a mess I wish I could show you pics . Im most likely gonna be ordering all from you can’t get any good pipe out here in Southern California

Great explanation of what I might be able to do with my property in central Wisconsin. We had a road failure to my northwest and a downhil run from the front to the middle. Combined, I've got 12-24 inches of water in my yard and the only place I could possibly run it to is the northern edge of my 5 acres. I believe you may have said I'll have to build a retaining pond since the water won't go down. Is that still the case or do I build the pond and run a french drain system to the pond?? I'm getting nowhere with contractors by me

Hello, I just bought a new house last year and I am having some drainage problems that have only gotten worse since my neighbors have been doing an addition that required them to take a section of their drain tile and disconnect it and the pack of dirt and clay in their yard doesn't help. My house does have drain tile and an indoor sump which most of the gutters terminate to besides one small section. I want to add a yard drain/drain tile system through the middle of the yard and tie into the last 2 gutters on the opposite side of the house and then tie into the clay pipe that one of the other gutters goes into. Would this be advisable. By the way Love the content, you got a new subscriber!!!

Can a downspout drain be added to the pit or connected to the yard drain as they are both solid pipe?

Hey, I'm currently digging a french drain by hand with a shovel, thanks to your inspiration. You've been a big help, if I could trouble you a little more... I live in Southeast Georgia, we take a tropical storm every other year, and my soil has a high content of tan clay (which doesn't move water too quickly, but even with a bare trench, i think its making a difference). Also, the closest i could get for 1-2 inch gravel was crushed concrete, much of which is sub-1 inch, so I'll put a sock over the lines and of course around the trench. Do you have any recommendations? I am concerned about a few things. My drain line is running close to an area with a lot of pine roots and I'm worried about them intruding. my trench is about 8" wide and at least a foot deep, sloped down 1" every 10' (or it will be when I'm done). Are these dimensions OK? I'll probably put 2 4" lines in each trench. Generally speaking, am I on the right track? thanks so much for everything you do. I was worried I was going to have to re-slope an acre and a half until I found your videos!!

Is it wrong to stack solid on top of French in the trench rather than next to? I'm working with minimal space and only a 25 foot run.
