I recently put in two French drains following these methods and they are working great! Mine are open french drains covered in rock not sod but I followed the advise of The French Drain man. It was a lot of hard work as I did it by myself but this system makes the most sense. I scoured the internet for information for a couple months before deciding what to do and in my opinion there is no one that seems to know what they're doing more than The French drain man!

I have a bunker that gets flooded. I'm going to do a french drain around the back and one side towards gravity. I don't have a storm water nearby though... where will I run the water off to and how? Perhaps run it to the nearby garden down hill and make a water fall?

The rock you are using is different than the round rock you recommend in other videos. I used pond rock that averages 2'3" but some are bigger. Will that work? Also, do you secure the fabric or just fold it over and cover with rock? Thanks
