What really came as a surprise for me is that The World Looks Red has a calm version. I thought The World Looks White WAS the calm version, but it was just a prelude. I love this piece so much

I love the way Hakita writes songs meant to convey grief and tragedy. Other songs that try to capture that feeling tend to be very slow and introspective. These are good in their own right, but to me, tragedy isn't quiet introspection; it's a desperate, unrestrained wail of anguish and despair. This song (and ORDER) capture that so, so well.

This layer was really violent. But the Ultrakill is still to be found. Absolute masterpiece of a game.

I discovered Ultrakill because of the Deep Blue preview and immediately fell in love with it. Didn't played the game (don't have the money, neither a computer) but watched the playthroughs and I can say that this game is a masterpiece when talking about all the artistic design on it.

This sound is just a mere proof of what Hakita is capable of and I admire him for it.

It's a nice experience to watch both the sunrise and sunset with it.

0:42 I have never before heard a piece of music that captures the sensation of “anguish” better than this.

It’s so intense and insane, and yet it’s simultaneously bursting with tragedy, the descending synth bass representative of a spiral into madness while the violins emulate a wail of grief that breaks down into dissonant sobbing. The guitar brings a scratchy rawness to the entire track that makes everything sound strained and desperate.

It’s actually beautiful. It transcends fire; it has become heat itself, a pure expression of inescapable suffering and the horror of human existence.

10/10. My new favorite song for my new favorite level.

Violence is by far my favorite layer because:
1. It has the best music
2. It has the best (Non Prime Sanctum) boss
3. Every level feels very distinct and they don’t blend together
4. Huge expansion of the game’s lore
5. I really like Powerwash Simulator

I genuinely think this is the first video game track to have made me cry on my own. No correlation with the in-game, just by itself, only now do I realize the true masterpiece that's being built up here. We are still halfway through the construction of this monolithic tower of art.
