Thank you so much for doing this video! I just finished doing a complete clutch job on my nieces 2008 Mustang Bullitt. The hardest part was the pilot bearing like you ran in to. It was a brutal fight even with a bearing puller! My niece saved it as a badge of honor!

seems like a good time to do a shifter and driveshaft since it all comes out anyway!

Good info, Thanks for the help. I had to drop my K-member to get the motor low enough for the trans to slid back in the tunnel so the pilot shaft could clear the clutch, he also said in the beginning of the video that you don’t have to drop the exhaust, I did not drop the H-pipe but wish I had of. The H- pipe will be removed before I go back with it!

what an excellent video!!! thank you and congratulations, i wish i could find videos like this for everything i ever needed lol. i bought a 2011 GT with bad crankshaft bearings and i just finished swapping the motor at home just to find out my transmission wont shift into any gears when the cars turned on ...so disappointing!!! im pretty sure the slave cylinder took a dump and i need to get my transmission out but i need to do this in my garage with no lift... this video will help me do it step by step without guessing whats next. ill be replacing the clutch that came with the used motor i bought for the old one that came out of the old engine... anyway congrats again great video!

Excellent video. Getting ready to do major work on my Mustang (0first time ever on this car) and this was very helpful showing things to look for (removal/install) as far as the manual trans is involved. Earned a sub. Thank you!

Top 2 trans bolts get removed from under the hood with a ratchet wrench. Super easy to do and a LOT of room to do it. Just an FYI.

I love your video on how to replace the clutch on the mustang, I also have a 2013 mustang gt, but I had to give you a thumbs down because of one rule that every great mechanic knows and even my father taught me, if you're going to do the job, do it right the first time so you don't have to go back in, you change the flywheel but you did not change the rear engine seal which is a no no, every good mechanic knows if you went that far to take the flywheel off what's a few more minutes to change the rear engine seal, Even though it was not leaking rule of thumb you're there so change it, That's like doing a timing belt and not changing the front engine seal or the cam seals, because after you put everything back who's to say a few months later the rear seal starts leaking because it was not changed. Now the whole job has to be done over again.

Note to self:  If I ever own a Mustang GT and it needs a new clutch, pay a pro to do it.  Tough job!

I took on this challenge on my car. Bolts for cats were seized so I couldn’t take the h pipe off. So imagine the time I had pulling the trans and putting it back on

I’ve replaced my trans with a Ben calimer stage 2 MT-82. Alone. I’ve had the trans out 3 times. First one I blew up second gear. Second one I blew up 4th gear. Third one I decided to just get a race trans lol.

Definitely not looking forward to ever replacing my clutch, I don't have access to a lift so this looks like it would be a pain to do with Jack stands

Hello. Awesome video. I have this issue. Could this be considered a warranty issue since it requires a redesign to fix a functional clutch?

How did you guys get the top 2 bolts out of the transmission?

Did you break it in like the instructions say? I mean it's an organic clutch after all. I bought the Exedy Mach 500 Stage 1

This the 1st clutch replacement video I've seen where you put a mark on the drive shaft fastening points. Is it really necessary?
