Good to see you getting into the kayak game brotha! You so right about getting a good kayak to enjoy the experience lol. I didn’t like it at all when I first started it felt like I was gonna go for a swim with every move. Sold it and purchased a quality fishing kayak and never looked back. I've had an SS127 since they were first produced and use it almost daily. If you're sticking with paddling, like I do, get the rudder kit! It makes such a big difference and is a no-brainer at that price. As mentioned, being able to store a ton of rods and equipment inside the boat just increases the ease of access you have to remote locations. I can easily pull mine through brush without snagging anything or hurting the boat. I don't think any other seat on the market comes close to being as comfortable at the bonafide's. I'm a big guy and I've never had an issue.

@brian latimer I always watch your videos and there is a lot I've learnt from you. My grandfather is 76 years old and we fish together in tournaments every year. I pass on what I have learned from the way you fish so We have good years and bad, sometimes we win and sometimes we dont. But his health is going down hill and I fear we won't be fishing together for much longer. So I was looking at the bonafide kayaks and eventually I will save up the money and buy one, and remanence about all the years grandpa and I fished together. It's always nice to see people that enjoys all that this sport intells.

I just got the limited edition 107 last week. It's awesome kayak. I also find the 10ft easier to carry in the truck it doesnt stick out so far.

Just wait til you try a kayak with a rudder!! Game changer! I think actually Bonafide sells a rudder kit that can attach to the SS 107/127! I do not have a bonafide but rather an Old Town Topwater PDL but almost pulled the trigger on a bonafide but wanted a kayak with peddles

Just curious, one year later now... do you still like your 10ft better than your 12ft? An update would be nice 👌 🙂 👍. I ask because I love my Old Town Sportsman 107 paddle kayak and being short I can handle it nicely. My husband is 6'3 so I'm looking at both the 107 and the 120 in the Old Town Sportsman paddle kayaks for him to choose from. My gut says to go with the 107 again (for him) because the response is so good on the 107. Central Florida and gators, response is a key factor to consider! There's almost always some kind of winds here too. What's your thinking now in March 2022.

You have two top of the line kayaks and have them in your back yard, I'm fishing out of a Walmart $200 one and keep it in my garage and baby it. i could only dream of having one of those.
