iPhone 12 review: new standard

The Apple iPhone 12 has a lot of new stuff: a new OLED screen, 5G, MagSafe for charging and accessories, and a whole new design with a ceramic shield screen. Does all that add up to a must-upgrade? Only if you really need one, even though it's great.

As ever, for those coming from an iPhone that's three years old, this'll feel like a decent jump. For those coming from one that's over five years old, it'll be a massive jump. For less than three years, it's probs not worth it. Imo this is fine.

What’s the fascination with being able to charge “wirelessly” and use the phone at the same time. How’s that more practical than actual using the cable, which gets less in the way and surely charges faster??

How "No AC adapter is beneficial for the environment"?
It's not like they stopped making it. One way or another you have to buy one. And since the other side of the cable is now USB C, you can't really use the old ones.

Even if you intend to use the old charger and cable, the old cables do no last very long....

5G is not a big feature. The real improvement should have been in the Battery, 120 Hz Displays and the USB-C port.

Dieter has officially become my favorite phone reviewer. He’s the only person I’ve seen so far who said that wireless charging through MagSafe is likely Apple’s plan. THIS is why they have kept the lightning port and never switched to USB C on the iPhones

Dude whoever writes these reviews which dieter does are very well written and he presents it in a very good and critical way. I mean, he literally asked the most important question in the first few seconds, "does this new stuff really matter?" That's good!
