This is the iPhone 12, what Apple Calls Blast Past Fast,.. Whatever that means,.. And yet what I'm gonna call the iPhone most people should buy, even if a couple of the reasons that made its predecessor so popular took a back seat.

That more affordable price strategy that we praised which separated the XR from the 11 went down the drain; an odd move considering that the price drop happened even with the 11 being superior. 2020, being as tough as its been, would've made that strategy even more ideal, but it's important to look at the bigger picture. In Apple's defense you can still buy the XR and 11 for less money, and it's important to clarify that the iPhone 12 is NOT an iterative update. This is an entirely different animal that's so much better than its predecessor, that for the first time ever, I'm seriously questioning if you need to go Pro.

I went from the 11 pro to the 12 instead of 12 pro. For me the "upgrade" aside design, has been the camera moreover 4KHDR. I've been uploading cinematic videos and it's just a joy in quality. Very happy.

Still be using XR for another year or two, I am desperately waiting for touch ID & useless notch to go, but 12's boxier design is the only thing that is tempting with Amoled displays across the board!

I have moved to the standard 12 from the 11 pro, the new 12s are pretty much identical and its a good saving. if looking at the 6.1 inch I wouldn't see the point in getting the pro over the standard 12

I upgraded from an iPhone XS 256 GB to the 12 64GB and I don’t regret it lol I love that I finally get a Super Retina XDR display. The camera setup is better and I was jealous of people with the ultra wide lens although I don’t use it as much. I was only using about 30 GB on my XS so I figured 64 GB would be okay 🤔

Definitely a great phone even if it is not the Pro.

I’m unable to see the point of upgrading from iPhone 8 plus. It has a more natural display ratio (16:9) than newer phones, most of the videos is 16:9. Battery still easily 36 hrs. I have a 3D touch which is far superior to the new haptic touch, which is pathetic. Also it feels like a flaghsip phone. Display is super color accurate, and I’m not so sure about that with these oled screens. IOs works likea a charm. I have my original charger and headphones. Can anyone give me a few good reasons to switch to 12 ?

I ordered the Mini. So freaking tired of big and heavy phones. My Xs Max is to chunky to carry around. iPad at home if big screen abstinence kicks in.

Going for the Pro Max because of the battery. But I agree, the normal 12 is best value, much better than the 12 Pro.

I thought this before the 12 pro Max reviews were coming in. This is the first time where it’s a hard sell for the pros maybe the pro Max for battery life. Based on some early camera comparisons the Max isn’t dramatically better than the 12.
