RG Kar Case: Prime Accused Sanjay Roy Claims Innocence As Court Frames Charges Against Him
Sanjay Roy, the prime accused in the rape and murder case of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata, has once again claimed that he is innocent. While speaking before a court for the first time, Roy said, "I am innocent and I do not know anything regarding the case."
This comes a day after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) charged Roy, who used to work with Kolkata Police as a contractual staff, with the rape and murder of the trainee doctor. The incident took place when the victim was resting in the hospital's seminar room during a break on August 9.
The 33-year-old Roy initially confessed to the crime after being arrested on August 10. However, he made a U-turn during the polygraph test, claiming he was being framed and was innocent.
The CBI, in its charge sheet, stated that Roy committed the crime alone and ruled out the possibility of a gang rape. The CBI cited a total of 11 pieces of evidence against Roy to prove his direct involvement in the murder of the trainee doctor.
In the charge sheet filed before a special court in Kolkata, the CBI claimed that several facts, circumstances, oral and documentary evidence and forensic/scientific reports, prove that the crime was committed by Roy inside the seminar hall of the medical facility.

Every bit of information is clear like transparent glass, the crime, criminal, the time, the people involved r too much powerful is clealy evident when the CP himself is involved along with CM . Might be some ministers son or industrialist son, thats crystal clear .. if it wasmerely political it would be cut off and the criminal would ve behind bars like partho and that goruchor. The dummy doctors who stopped the protest and went to talk with cm was also instated by cm to get the signatures of doctors claiming they are happy with the protection from state . Kudos to the doctor's leaders who fell in the trap and sunk deep in the mud . The blood of the girl is in everyone's hands and probably mine too who despite knowing everything cant do anything about it cause the whole spirit of protest was shattered by doctors themselves . At peak of protests if doctors woulve joined then only there would be justice .. its so naive on their part to think theres any evidence left when theres so many brainy people are behind this people hiding the crime scene and burning the body for any further investigation
