If you really think about it, this world takes place around the 1920's, and not at the time of some ancient city, the world is already developed, and you're planting in a place thats already ancient.

The soundtrack of this world is sooo epic, one of my favorites. I really like that it has touches similar to "Crazy Dave"

Lost City is most likely my favorite PVZ2 world, the music simply makes it all and i love the theme

I just got to this world a few days ago, and as soon as I heard this, I knew I would love it. The horns in the beginning are judt so dramatic!

while pretty much confirmed now, i'm still a big fan of the theory that this world actually takes place in the early 20th century, and that you're practically in an adventure movie that explores an ancient mayan city

In terms of setting, I like to think its a mashup of the first half of the 20th century. Machu Pichu was discovered in the 1910's, but the designs of the pilot zombies take clear inspiration from fighter pilot uniforms of the WW2 period.
