WGC Webinar: Advocacy for Gender Just Climate Action

The Women and Gender Constituency (WGC) hosted this webinar on July 31, 2020, as the first of several planned events this year both showcasing and addressing designers and implementers of gender just climate solutions. Climate ambition does not only refer to mitigation commitments but to transforming climate action and putting a human-centered approach at its heart.

This webinar showcased examples of gender-just climate action and advocacy from the WGC's Gender Just Climate Solutions initiative and shared resources to support advocacy for gender-just climate action. Featured speakers were Madina Amin Hussein (Global Nature Conservation), Sanjay Banka (Banka BioLoo), Ndivile Mokoena (GenderCC-Women for Climate Justice Southern Africa, and WGC Co-Focal Point), Gina Cortés Valderrama (Women Engage for a Common Future), Tara Daniel (Women's Environment and Development Organization), and Patricia Bohland (LIFE e.V. and WGC Coordinator).
