My NEW 2023 Credit Card Strategy (REVEALED)

In this video, I’m going over my 2023 credit card strategy with some of the best credit cards out there! I like to mostly use travel credit cards to travel almost completely for free, so this is going to explain what my plan is this year. I actually just got denied for one credit card and approved for another, so I’ll also talk about how that is going to shape the 5 main things I’m focusing on in my 2023 credit card strategy.

Thanks for the vids. I started watching em and got amex.
I got a business platinum for my company, and the gold for my personal. In 1 month i got 130k bonus on the platinum and another 75k for my personal. I spent over $75k in a month with the platinum so they gave me 2 free guests with the centurion lounges until jan 24'. I spent 100k points on plane tiks, booked thru amextravel in december so i am getting 35% of those points back, and i can do it again this year in 2023 (once every calendar year). Still have 220k points, hashtag winning! Your videos help man, i appreciate it

Daniel, you have been instrumental in my credit journey as many other commenters have said. One week ago I didn’t even know about the transfer partner benefits on any cards. I just got the Venture X card and really think it’s underrated! What I just realized and think is really neat is that they give you the $100 anniversary credit as miles which means that if you transfer out you could really turn that into 2-5 cpp making it worth $200-$500 just from those miles! So the EAF on the card could really be like -$405 if you do your research and get first class flights overseas, which blew my mind. Thanks for all of the content and tips!

Honestly I don't think you need Capital Venture X. It is a good to have if you want to simplify your bonus points by earning 2x no matter what but you already have amex platinum. Whatever venture x offers you already covered. Plus, you can keep getting many offers from Amex where you can earn more points and cash back. You also have business plus card where you can earn 2x anyway. I'd go with CSP or CSR if you don't have and then move to hotel cards where you can use points for airline mile transfers. I was denied for Venture X last year but after reading many horror stories about Capital's unexpected account closures on reddit, I don't want venture x anymore.

Can you do a video on how to take advantage of welcome bonuses? If you are trying to accumulate points while maintaining your credit score, should you be opening new cards to redeem the welcome bonus and then close the new cards later?

So chase practically instantly approved me for 4 cards (applied months apart) but when i applied for citi custom cash haven't heard anything for 12 days then got letter in my mail saying they needed more info. I also had got a suspicious call immediately after applying from "citi". Anyone have these issues with citi? I eventually cancelled my request and just focused on another credit card.

Hey, Daniel. Great video. You mentioned adding your fiancée as an authorized user on your Amex. Could you make a video exploring the pros and cons of adding authorized users to an existing account versus applying jointly for a new account? I am in the same boat with my wife where she enjoys the free travel and lets me do what I want with our credit cards but I would love to be more strategic about what card she has and how we can maximize points and miles in 2023.
