Hi Keith, if I go from one job with group coverage to another job with group coverage there is usually a waiting period for the next coverage to begin. Usually 90 days. Will this waiting period void the SEP?? Thanks.

I live in Florida and plan to stay on my husband’s insurance. Some of the articles I have read on supplemental plans available at a later date seem to exclude Plan N. Will my supplemental plans be limited when I apply after age 65 during my extended enrollment period? Thanks

Hello; one question that I have is I did go on Medicare A, when I reached 66 so that I could collect full S.S. without the working penalty & I've always had proof of insurance & full insurance for myself, my wife, & my daughter since turning 65 & before through work. Now, I'm going to be 70, 12-2023, & am strongly considering retiring in around May of 2024. I understand that I can switch insurance for 60 days before & 60 days after the retirement date, so I'm counting on switching mine, & purchasing theirs somehow, with this special enrollment period. I believe I understand the special enrollment time is allowed for me, but I want to make sure it's for them as well, as they will also be losing coverage do to the retirement, outside of the normal enrollment time. Thanks for any replies.

When signing up for part A only at 65 but still covered by husbands employer, via the online questions, it documents as still covered by employer medical insurance. Do we also have to fill out a paper form and send it in? Seems redundant if info already provided on-line at sign up. Or is it every year?

If you are continuing to work for a large company past 65, and you already dont contribute to a HSA, is there any reason not to start part A during your initial enrollment timeline?

What if HR is not compliant with the form or drags there feet sign how do I prove credibility coverage and is it difficult?

I got the form filled out by HR, but what if I wait 5 or 6 months to retire? Do I need a fresh date on the form?

What about when they have A/B age 74 no insurance, is it just regular underwriting with no special enrollment period?

Great video as always! Question -When you retire and living in one state but plan to move to another state - how does that work? I noticed that the premiums are different according to each state. Could you explain what would be the best thing to do. Thanks!!!😀

I turn 65 in November this year but intend to stay on wife's health plan(1000+ employees) until she retires 01-01-2025 (she turns 65 Sept 2024). If I do this and we then go on Medicare Jan 01-2025 will I have to get underwritten to get on a supplemental plan under the special enrollment period?

Hi - Don't you HAVE to start Part A at 65 even if you are still working?

Can you start social security payments without signing up for Medicare Part B until you are fully retired?

The penalty for Part B should be eliminated and all monies paid for it refunded to all who paid penalties. Also, all should be automatic. Many seniors have issues with cognition and memory.
