Solar Flare

Here is some stellar work-in-progress towards Beta 1 showing solar flares and coronal mass ejection - shown 'faster than real time'.

And this while the Star Citizen devs are still not decided on if they will even have orbiting planets yet.
For me, the environment, space itself, is the most important aspect of a space game. As such, no matter how much more detailed the ships in SC are simulated, i'm very much expecting ED to be my favorite game. Because it pays proper respect to the real environment of space itself.

when it happened and the flare just flew by my cockpit i was just blown away by how awesome it is :D this game is just blowing my mind in a level that no game done before :)
