Absolutely correct Tim! Finding the right balance of what to play to support the song or the backing track is always essential to become a better musician. Whenever I am listening to your playing you always prove me right! Leaving spaces to let the song breathe and speeding up and playing more notes and more complicated stuff, if the backing track gives you enough space. I shake my head when I look at a fret board vs a keyboard, who ever designed the guitar was a nut! But don't we love them. When you talked about seeing the chords on the fret board I cried.
