A rare stone found in the Egyptian desert, named 'Hypatia' is believed to have formed before our very own solar system and could shed light on the mysteries of our universe.

Space is odd, weird, and fascinating. We all have at least once in a life dreamt of going to space, but we forget we are traveling in space all the time, on a giant rock that sort of looks like a ball. The True Spaceball!

Though this rock was formed four and half billion years ago, space didn’t stop contributing to it. A strange extraterrestrial space rock unearthed in the Sahara Desert is an unexpected gift from the universe that we have unwrapped millions of years after its delivery, and could be the first evidence on Earth for a rare type of supernova.

Welcome to Factnomenal and today we are looking at the Hypatia Stone, which may be our first clue to understanding one of the most rare and fascinating astrophysical phenomena of the universe.

And whose finding may have implications for existing theories about our solar system's origins.

I wish Carl Sagan were alive to see the discoveries, achievements, and advancements being made today.

the idea that that epochal changes to life on earth can be due to spacial conditions rather than, astoroid/comet impacts, or massive vulcanism or possibly all of these factors, certanly deserves further investigation, seaching for hypatia type rocks maybe in antartica, or somewhere where it would stand out would be realy interesting.

Not sure if you are aware of this but everything in our solar system was formed inside of a star. This piece is no different from anything else you can touch taste or see on our planet.

It seems plausible that life "seeds" are scattered all over the universe, it's just a question of the right chemistry happening where the elements meet.

All of the Metals found on the Earth come from a stars nova. Once a star starts producing elements like iron, it is the death nil for the star. As Carl Sagan said, “we are all made from Star stuff”.

I love how you guys just talk about supernovas millions of years ago like you know what you're talkin about when we don't even know how many planets are in our own solar system!

There are NO traces of the "Super Nova" your on about. More likely the elements were created by our own star, Sol.
Micro-Nova's. Build up of dust around star, gets charged and expelled in a boom. this also explains the half life problem

back in my day we just called that a Nova

Given the limited number of supernovas that have been observed and studied no on can say what is a rare type or a common type. People do make some ridiculous assertions don't they.
