Good luck! These old mowers are a gem. I have a cub I got second hand. Just did oil, filter and fuel pump. Mine is hydrostatic from around the same time period as yours. Purrs like a kitten and have to say now that I have it I can't imagine being without it.

Bear, I see what you mean... Time to start chasing wires from battery to on off switch, and pick a color wire and chase it to end then repeat to next wire to final destination. just thinking out loud here

We try to keep our machine free from debris but at times have have machines that are that dirty. Having a new fan printed is a good way to fix. The wiring issue is interesting
