For the past month and half I have been researching the fascinating life of Murat and I can't wait to share his story with you all. Due to popular demand, this episode will be broken up into two parts. I hope you all enjoy it and I promise more episodes will be out the door soon.
. We will be covering the long awaited odyssey of Murat. Soldier, King, and fighter, all these things would accurately describe Murat. He is considered to be one of the best Cavalry generals in history. Fighting under Napoleon from Egypt to Leipzig. No other Marshal could be compared to him, Murat stands alone, as the most daring and charismatic leader of the Napoleonic Wars. He charged into battle in the expensive golden garments of warrior kings. Winning scores of victories in the name of France. Murat pushed his men to the breaking point in the endless pursuit of the enemy. The Austrians, Prussians and Russians stood no chance against him.

I can think of plenty of French cavalry commanders who were superior to Murat. Lasalle, Milhaud, Pajol, Montbrun etc
