Samsung Galaxy A54 has a Pixel 7 Problem!

Its a shame that the pixel phones arent officially selling in my country Malaysia while all the samsung are, we have to import them and if we break it its really hard to get it fixed.

The problem is that in most of the world the pixel 7 is not available hahaha here in brazil you can import it but costs 40-50% more than the a54!

Pixel 7 isn't available in the Philippines. We can buy from the gray market but since it is not certified here, 5G does not work. Plus, there are tons of reports of battery issues with the Pixel. So I might wait for Google to create Tensor with TSMC process.

In Bulgaria we get a discount on a phone's price with buying a plan from a carrier. The A54 can reach a price of 300 euros, while the Pixel isn't sold here with carriers, so its like 650 euros, which now makes the a54 a good value

Just got the A54 for my mom. With the trade in offer Samsung is offering for her S9, the total after tax was under $320. Expandable storage and a large battery. Those are the 2 main things she cares about from a practical standpoint. Plus you get 4 years of software and 5 years of security updates.

And the problem with pixel 7 is availability. Here in Indonesia pixel 7 costs as much as s23 base model, which is almost twice the price of a54

A54 offers the freedom of dual simplicity and not eSim, and that counts above all pixel features and if there is any issue the Samsung is easy to get repaired. Phone companies shouldn't not be allowed to decide for consumers if we need dual sim, headphone jack etc. It's our call and now a days reviewer are pushing company propaganda

So I just bought a Samsung A54 for my GF for her Birthday. All the reviews and comments from owners I've seen the main reason people seem to chose this phone over an older flagship phone is simple, expandable storage. My GF was adamant she wanted her next phone to have expandable storage like her S10e. And the S20 series is soon out of it's support for updates.

One thing you did not mention here is that Pixel 7 will get support with guaranteed Android version updates for 3 years, while for Galaxy A54, it's 4 years. Strange that Android is owned by Google but still they don't provide extended period support for their own device.
It's gonna change with Pixel 8 though with 7 years support.

Don't forget the S21 FE. Now even cheaper and came out not that long ago, Jan 2022. S23 FE is coming too. Not sure why it gets a bad rap. They are much better than the A50 series.

we can't buy Pixel 7 at the same price like you. Pixels are expensive here. so A54 is my choice.. And A54 feels like a midrange for reviwers, for the general public it is more than enough

In my country, the Pixel 7 costs much more than the A54. It is the 6A which costs approximately the same as the A54.

im a samsung user i not going to switch to other android phones ever im still using the a50 which i have now for the last 5 years and i will def get the a54 i dont care if its worst then the pixel im used gonna get that phone

gotta disagree when Pixel phones aren't even available in my country, sure we can order them online via Amazon and such but it is region locked when it comes to its 5G and needs to be rooted first before unlocking its potential.

I'm a fan of Pixel phones but I can't just risk it considering its price lol

Id say oneUI is a better software experience than pixelUI. Better multi-winsow options, multi-sound, knox secure (app) folder, etc. It also gets 4 years os updates vs Google's 3 years and because it was released later, it will be patched until 2028, vs pixel 2027 - so better value per year of security support

Here in Brazil, a country with much more taxes than the US, the phone is sold for 1700 reais (Around 340 dollars) they could easily sell this thing for much less in the US
