Online GIS Dashboard for Thu Duc City

Having accurate and comprehensive information is crucial in the planning process. This is true not just for planning professionals, but especially for the authorities and decision makers responsible for its implementation. In close coordination with Thu Duc City’s Urban Management Division, enCity developed an interactive GIS (Geographic Information Systems) platform to provide government city planners with a range of spatial data in order for them to make informed decisions about the development of their master plan. The online dashboard features side-by-side comparison between the existing land use plan and the revised land use plan, together with important urban metrics such as population and land use area breakdown, within all 36 planning zone boundaries of Thu Duc City. Community amenities, points of interests, and public transit networks, are also integrated to create a comprehensive overview of all city functions.

With a simple interface, data-driven widgets and usable filters, the GIS dashboard enables Thu Duc City’s planners to drill down into the master plan’s details and easily identify potential conflicts or opportunities across urban layers.
