The queen once said, 'grief is the price we pay for our love.'

Janurary 2023, I still can't believe the only monarch I ever knew from birth is gone. Still totally surreal.

When she passed it felt like a grandmother has passed away, she was always there, didn't always see her, but she was an example to all of us, represented us to best of her abilities, even when we didn't deserve it. My 4 year old will know Kings in his life time.. my Nan was 6 when our Queen was crowned, she remembers the dress she wore to the street party.

The Queen’s statement during the pandemic was a great comfort to me. My grandmothers were no longer with us, but the Queen was the world’s grandmother. 🇺🇸

I’m not ashamed to say that I still get emotional thinking about the loss of Queen Elizabeth. The only consolation being that she is reunited with the love of her life, after 18 months apart. Rest in Peace, Your Majesty.

I never knew I'd feel such sorrow over the death of someone I never knew. She was the only Monarch I'd ever known, I still feel like I lost a family member <3

What was remarkable about those filing past her coffin was how different everyone was. All ages, all races, all genders, all sexualities, all shapes and sizes, and cultures. She was a unifying force beyond compare. Our greatest monarch and the greatest head of state, the world has ever seen. Rest in Peace and Thank You Ma’am.

With the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II an era ends but it’s like the loss of a parent to me someone I knew was always there and now she is gone and I feel very old and once again feel the loss of my own parents, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. Now, we are all alone without them

Even now, it’s still so hard to believe she’s gone. I’m American born, but have long been an Anglophile and a monarchist and have always felt a deep connection to my ancestral land. Since I was a boy, I grew up knowing that Elizabeth II reigned in London, that she was The Queen, and that’s all there was to it. Seventy magnificent years. God grant you rest, Your Majesty. God save The King.

I'm a UK citizen, I'm from Cornwall, southern UK and even now watching this is heartbreaking to us. I'm 35 and it's alot for me and many, our nation crying, upset, silent and the country just at stand still for still not used to all this. It's been said she fought bone cancer but no one knew. May she rest in peace.

As an American, I admired her strength and wisdom. She was an inspiration for so many people in so many countries including her own. I know that the crown is based on her life and it was through the series and other videos on YouTube that I begin to really admire her. She always faced any storm that came her way with strength and determination to see it through. She had a wicked sense of humor that could put a smile on anyone’s face. She will be missed by everyone who knew her and admired her. Rest in peace in your castle up above, your majesty.

She sure was iconic, in the true meaning of the word. RIP Queen Elizabeth

Well done! The grief and the sorrow comes through and the imagery well spliced with the music from The Crown. Instead of the death of his father King George VI, it is now the eldest daughter, Elizabeth. She was the last of the immediate family who lived through the Second World War. God bless you Elizabeth, as well as both your father and mother and your sister, Margaret, who have already passed on.

I knew when it was reported that Her Majesty wouldn’t be returning from Balmoral. I remember reading a small headline. At that time I stated to my niece, The Queen isn’t returning from Balmoral. This doesn’t sound good. Shortly after she passed. But what a life she had.❤

We used to sing God Save the Queen at primary school in Australia when I was a little girl…they don’t do that anymore but I still remember..she was my Queen all my life and I doubt there will ever be another like her..
May she Rest In Peace!

Even as a German it is still unbelievable that THE Queen now is gone. It feels like my own grandmother died. A woman that leaded not only the United Kingdome into a new Era but the whole world. What ever happened we knew that in London there is a symbol of stability.
May angles guide her soul into the eternal light of our almighty father and his son, our lord, Jesus Christ.

God save Charles III.
GOD SAVE THE KING!

As sad and inevitable as this was, I feel lucky to have seen her platinum jubilee and seen reign for 70 years. I always a fan of her majesty in her younger days, a ball buster, an absolute legend.
