Can an ISP tell if you are torrenting? ISPs can tell if you're torrenting unless you're encrypting your network with a VPN. Here are the best VPNs for privacy, speed, and general online security.

How's it going everybody? Welcome back. And can your ISP or Internet Service Provider tell if you're torrenting? The answer is yes, because when you download a torrent, you connect to a torrent tracker server, which is responsible for connecting peers to each other. So they can share files. Once you connect to the tracker server, your IP address is visible to all peers that are participating in this protocol. So as you can tell, here, I'm downloading the storm right here. And I can see everyone that's connected to this torrent specifically, and I can see their country I can see their port and their IP address. And this is how you can pretty much expose yourself when you're downloading a torrent. Now, it's always better to use a VPN of course in order to prevent your IP from leaking to other peers. And of course, it's one way to hide your activity from your ISP in case you download something that could be considered copyrighted material. So while your ISP can sometimes tell if you're torrenting, the provider won't automatically know your ISP will only know that you are torrenting when someone has monitored your IP address engaged in torrenting and proceeds to tip the ISP off. Okay, so of course, to avoid that, simply use a VPN you'll be first of all encrypting your traffic and you'll be using a different IP address so that your ISP won't be able to tell what you're doing in the first place. And for using a good VPN with proper obfuscation, your ISP won't even be able to tell they're using a VPN in the first place. And that's why I selected these three VPNs as my top three suggestions for peer to peer activity and torrenting and streaming in general. Alright, so if you guys are interested in any of these VPNs you'll find links to pricing discounts in the description down below as well as for reviews if you'd like to learn more about the privacy policy speed streaming and torrenting capabilities, as well as security and features.
