Much respect. It's about time these bullies are replaced with sane and completely reasonable people. How pathetic, a load of aggressive men dragging mothers and grandmothers, who have spent their lives saving and improving lives as doctors, from a company they have every reason to be highlighting their criminal decisions. and the British media have been pathetic in holding up Morgan to account.

I’m a fourth generation oil and gas royalties beneficiary. I can’t lie. It’s the gravy train.

I’m working to divest the trust and transfer its assets into green energy production and leave that stuff behind.

Does the leader of XR Gail Bradbrook still take 10, 000 mile flights to her favourite exclusive resort in Costa Rica? Rules are for thee, not me.

These are the same people who stopped public transport requiring people to take more cars and taxis

Not heard of anyone going on strike or work to rule yet because employers are not doing enough to tackle emissions. Car plants and bus drivers would be prime examples as would the oil and gas industry and the energy billing companies. Banks, now they would be a good one.
Is it not time workers followed the lead of their children?

I have a better idea let's collectively withdraw our participation from the monetary system as a whole.

I guess nobody ever thought of using oil eating bacteria for anything other than on oil spills? They digest oil into CO2 and H20 just like human digestion does to our food. Nobody has thought to simply put these INTO oil fields and infect those fields to be EATEN until gone?

Anti-natalism is profoundly moral. There should be no conception without the express consent of the embyro-to-be.

Is it just me? - Completely does my head in to see morons in "security' uniforms manhandling people who dedicate their lives to helping others, medical professionals. The two ends of the spectrum of human intelligence and credibility. SMH :(

Proof positive that having a PhD and being a doctor is no gaurantee that you're also honest and have common sense and know anything about the planet's history.

Some of these middle class fools are intelligent but intelligence and wisdom do not always go together. What on this earth do these people expect to achieve? I must assume that their intention is to make the British public angry enough to force the government to fall in line with their doctrine . The FACT is that those members of the public who had some sympathy with their aim [not that anyone knows what their aim is ..including them] Carbon free is impossible. The politicians are most concerned with taking power or holding on to power another FACT. We have a power crisis right now that will put up prices for electricity and gas. Coal mines have been reopened and we are at the mercy of a Communist dictator known as Putin to some degree. The wind has been calm for some time so the subsidised wind turbines do not turn ..hence the opening og old coal shafts. What in DETAIL do these people demand ? I have news for them China, Russia, and India no not listen to one single word they utter. The logical conclusion is that these people are seeking some kind of moral superiority to give some substance to their shallow lives, because everything they do and say is ILLOGICAL. footnote.... They are vastley more likely to be vaporized in a nuclear conflict than any weather condition ....just look around the world you village idiots.

You can't blame the government for everything. The population is increasing, most families have three or four cars and the cars are getting bigger and heavier requiring more fuel to run and more resources to make. Four wheel drive wastes fuel as you only need two wheel drive to go along a road. Even electric cars are getting bigger and heavier. Food is a valuable resource that is intended to keep you fit and healthy yet I see many people getting overweight or obese. They consume too much food which takes effort and resources to produce to damage their bodies and shorten their lives. Also the families want lovely houses where every room is heated. The government has to find ways to fuel this modern extravagant lifestyle.

I love XR and the role it has played, along with FFF, in the last few years bringing the climate crises front and center in the media and to popular consciousness; exposing the perpetrators with great courage and flamboyant good will; insisting legislators produce actionable and accountable policy; calling relentlessly for citizen assemblies and so much more. The narrative is where it should have been these many years; and those decades of delay make the transition all the more costly (from the crudest to the most sublime interpretation of that word) and all the more urgent. That undeniably is and will increasingly prove to be true. BUT it is not too late to avert catastrophe and the much bantered 'societal breakdown' is not by scientific consensus 'locked-in'. The science just doesn't bear this out as an inevitability. There is much at stake, absolutely. We are in the midst of crisis, unequivocally. There is much to be done, determinedly. Yet this insistence on doom-saying that has served to name The Crisis for what it is and inspire sustained mobilisation on a global scale, is now demoralising and debilitating many activists across the community, contributing in no small part to burn-out.

This further empowers vested interests that wish for nothing more than to delay the inevitable demise of fossil fuel combustion for as long as possible, by any means necessary; and are busy throwing good (often public money in the form of subsidies) money after bad in a perverse race for the last drop of dinosaur blood. Outright denial is no longer a feasible strategy and so the INactivists, ever vigilant and reactionary, pivoted in one schismatic leap from - 'it's not happening' -to- 'it's too late!'

In lieu of the well-documented facts that fossil-fuel-profiteers have for decades and continue to fund climate-contrarians and other delaying strategists; for your own sake check the provenance of what you are ingesting online with these two open source tools.
