I've owned this camera since it's release and still came here to watch your input. love the way you test and use cameras, Jake. Keep up the great work. The anamorphic support as well is phenomenal. Just wish they did the desqueeze through HDMI. That, and better read out speeds would make this an undoubtable camera to anyone

I've owned a lot of cameras. Sony, Canon, and Fujifilm. Fujifilm is definitely close in regards to build quality and great features but Lumix by far is the best camera I have ever owned. The Lumix S5IIX is a cinema camera and photo camera. Insane.

bought this specifically for a two week road trip in France. was really good in a practical setting just documenting day to day adventures. sharing that video today but nice work on your end. great camera

I had Panasonic since the days of the GH2. Moved to Sony 3 years ago (of course because of the autofocus) and moved back to Panasonic one year ago. Best camera for the price

i just sold mine (financial need) and its probably the most reliable mirrorless workhorse ive ever used. i had an s1h before and… still like it better for image and ergonomics, but unfortunately as someone dismissive of autofocus my entire career… the s5ii autofocus was creatively liberating. allowed for a lot of shots that weren’t possible. also paired with that 28-70 from sigma it weighed *nothing*. i do think the s1h’s image is notably better, and the preamps are weirdly below panasonic’s usual high bar, but otherwise incredible.

The S5II is great! Can't wait for the S1HII.

Coupling the S5II X with vintage Contax Zeiss is such a flex. Doing the same with the ninja star Makro Planar 60mm

Great review that shows the images in the WORKFLOW not just pre and post edits. Very good stuff.

Watched a couple of videos on this camera now, and I'm definitely sold. I've been looking for something where I know I won't have to upgrade for a long long time, and this camera seems so great for film making, definitely going to save up for this one. And for what I've seen in other videos as well, the kit lens is actually really good. Awesome video!

This the best camera of this generation and I’m not trying to gas this up this just the facts . If they had a camera awards this camera would win and the new Firmware update make it crazy and being able to stack luts inside the camera that mean you don’t have to color grade in post just edit and send out to clients. Only reason to color grade with this camera. Is because you want to .

If my S5iix and all my L mount lenses spontaneously combusted - I'd rebuy all of it with no hesitation.
