First gen was available as a sedan, hatchback, or wagon. The hatchback and the sedan just look kinda similar, u can tell which is which because the sedan doesn’t have a rear window wiper and the trunk area is slightly longer

The First generation Mazda 6 was a beautiful car, still is, I especially like the wagons they are just very classy and well proportioned. My parents had a Mazda 6 wagon in the yellow color and it was really stunning. My significant other bought a 2009 Ford fusion 2.3 L, which I wish was a Mazda 6 every day even if it had the 2.3. The 2.3 L is extremely reliable, and the 3 L is very reliable as well but I have heard horror stories from several friends….the six speed transmission is not as reliable as the five speed that comes in the 2.3 L autos that is. The 3 L is very closely related to the Jaguar 3.0 that was in the X type and the S type which was extremely reliable, mine was purring at 170, 000 miles when it was totaled😓

I have a 2007 mazda 6 5 speed manual that I bought brand new and I'm still enjoying it! My car still looks brand new and turns heads. I absolutely love this car! The gas mileage is great as well 425 miles per tank for a 15 year old car🤪

This was the best looking sedan with a Japanese nameplate of the early 2000's... followed at a distance by the Honda Accord of the era.

2000s Mazda designs are actually considered quite pretty and athletic, especially for the time. The first Mazda3s sold because they were a combo of the winning Focus platform and fresh, sporty styling inside and out. It was a standout back then and these Mazdas still look pretty now, the non-rusted ones that is

I had one of these fully loaded with the hatch. Absolute favorite car i ever owned. Unfortunately it rusted pretty bad and needed a complete suspension overhaul. The engine started running rough and i got rid of it at 210k. Definately not the best built car but the leather seats were phenomonal, enough power with the V6, and really fun to drive.

My friends first car was this gen Mazda6. It was the hatchback. I still don't understand why all mid size sedans don't use liftback stuff. Nearly all new sedan have a sloping rood and no trunk table. I can't imagine it hurting the modern designs at all. Maybe you could add reclining rear seats?

Anyway his motor blew up not to long after he got it under 100k miles. It's just sitting in his yard. I remember being impressed by how good the interior was. It looked different than this one a little but. Nostly the lower center and controls. I was amazed how modern it looked despite no screen.

I’ve got a 2006 Sedan, V6 with a 5spd manual. Love that car! Fun to drive and very reliable! Got 221k miles on it and it take it anywhere! Matter of fact I did a road trip from Atlanta to Vegas in it 3yrs ago. Car was flawless! I’d like a review on it, but since you just did this one, I guess there won’t really be a need, huh?

You probably don't get a lot of requests to do minivans, but I think it be cool if you did some 90s minivans the ones that so many of us grew up in, like a 2nd or 3rd gen caravan. Love the channel bud.

Hey dude! Awesome video! If you're ever gearing to head east to Virginia I've still got a speed6 for ya.

I loved the 1st gen MZ6 and they still look great to me! I drove a 2008 MZ6 i Sport (base model, 2.3L/5AT) for over a month back in 2008. The engine in my 2006 MZ3 was being replaced under warranty and I had the MZ6 as a loaner. It was a great car and I really didn't want to give it back! Even with the 2.3L and 5AT, it was still a fun car to drive.

The 4-door Sedan was available 2003-2008, 5-door Hatchback 2004-2008 and Sport Wagon 2004-2007. I don't have the official numbers to back me up, but the 4-door Sedan outsold the 5-door Hatchback by roughly 5:1. The Sport Wagon was only around 5% of total sales.

We had a 2006 Mazda 6 and i really enjoyed the one option you might not have found. Hold the unlock button down and all the windows open automatically. Just the opposite lock well close all the windows

Just bought a 2006 Mazda 6. Spent 4k CAD and it has only 123735 km. The car is really nice but it does eat quite some gas

Still got my speed6. An absolute missile on the road. I love the interior and it's still one of the best looking awd turbo sedans out there

I loved how on the triptronic "auto manual" shifter has the gear changes in the CORRECT orientation. Up is down shift and pulling back is up shift .

I wonder if Mazda still does this on their newer cars

Have a 2008 Mazda 6 2.3l 5 spd, wish I got the V6 but the one I was looking at sold before I could get to it. Absolutely love the design of the car, I think it still holds up today
