Playing the long game is a polite way of saying they have spent six years of not getting the work done.

Apple charges a lot on the store and they get angry for being charged a lot?

Anti monopoly laws could reignite innovation in this sector...big companies have have placed a stranglehold on the consumers.

A tabletop robot just doesn't sound like the move. Maybe I lack the imagination.

They end up going back to Qualcomm again and lose billions.

A tabletop device, sort of like the lamp hopping around in the animated Pixar logo.

so basically cutting.
I'll still stick with a reliable Qualcomm on my phone for now till the new iPhone modem has proven itself

It's vertical integration and cost efficiency

But I think it's a good play on apples side because it gives them full control over the phones performance and size as well

Hey Apple, Why don't you send the chip designing to India. What could possibly go wrong? They are already experts at running call center scams.

They’re great at silicon. Don’t think they’ll be quite as good with modems.

This reminds me of when Apple abandoned Intel.

The primary point of the tabletop robot is for this to be paired with the Vision Pro. I’m surprised mark Gurman can’t figure that out. It’s not for a normal person’s home (except for rich people). It’s so a ceo can wear a Vision Pro from their villa in Hawaii and put a tabletop robot at a board room at the SF office. Their persona is shown on the screen and they can look around the room by using their headmovenents of the Vision Pro

🍏
The robot is a bad idea unless it can do chores. Apple is already in a bad position.

Is this the same guy who said the iPhone 16 will have a " cool new button " as an upgrade? I'm getting isheep vibes.
