As someone with fecal impaction Carnivore giving me Diarrhea has been a blessing. I've gone from 1 bowel movement every 2 weeks to a month to going everyday.

This was awesome! I wish there were more discussion in the carnivore community about restarting, not waiting for perfect circumstances, overcoming distractions, falling short.

I loved when she said “people feel like they should be able to make this work”…. And we don’t really talk about when it doesn’t…. I felt that!! Love love love coach Amy and all she does for us!!! 🫶🏽

Love your helpful tips and compassion for those of us who keep falling off the wagon - it’s not how many times you fall off, it’s whether you get back up again…

When someone offers me a sweet (and as a sugar addict, this happens often), my immediate answer is: “The real answer is yes! I’d love that sweet so much!” But then I follow with the following : “My body can’t digest it properly.” 😢

I take a moment to reflect and think: “I’ve had this sweet thousands of times before. It always tastes the same—just the same simple, boring sweetness. There’s no new flavor or experience waiting for me.”

This thought helps me calm down my craving and refocus on what’s best for my body.

Great interview. I enjoyed hearing about practicing ‘falling off the wagon’. I feel that is going to really help me stick to carnivore. Thank you.

The honesty of this interview is very sobering. Healing is one of the most important, difficult, honest things we can do for our selves. I am inspired here, again! ☮️❤️🙏

A person will spend 1000's of hours on exercise and the gym, but will spend the bare minimum on emotions. Creating the habit of treating yourself well emotionally takes time and persistance. It will get easier. Forgive yourself often, and let go of the pain you let yourself feel about mistakes. You have my gratitude and thanks Dave, as well as all the brave guests you have on =)

You don't need to rely on character, eat as much healthy fat as you want and eventually, your physiology will change. Your desires regarding food will change. It takes some people longer than others. You don't have to be perfect, just think this is what you're going to do for the rest of your life. Don't beat yourself up, it's a marathon, not a sprint. Don't impose an arbitrary goal or deadline on yourself. It may take a while but eventually, your cravings will turn. Wishing you the best. If you want to snack, eat some butter or bacon, it works.

I’ve always been a grazer, too, not so much a volume eater, and I am a huge sugar addict. It truly is an addiction. I think sugar addicts must be grazers in order to satisfy the addiction, but I am learning to eat more at a single meal, to eat until “comfortably stuffed”, learning what feeling full to satiation and what true hunger both actually feel like. Because when you’re a sugar grazer you never actually feel either one. Fortunately, carnivore and FAT decrease the physical cravings, but if I have anything sweet it’s almost like going back to square one again dealing with cravings roaring back to life. Anyway, interesting conversation, and I related to a lot of what Amy had to say.

Wow, I am glad that works for you, but it all sounds waaay to complicated for me. I eat twice a day, and I only eat eggs, bacon, ribeyes, and hamburgers. I don't think about it, I just do this everyday and it works!

we al have to stop dwelling on our failures and really start dwelling on the goal of health and results . when I get triggered by carbs or candy I have a piece of bacon .
