My wife of 10 years had cheated on me so I was trying to figure out what to do and Waylon was always my outlaw partner & hero. Him and Willie we're going to play down at luckenbach so I got tickets and I headed down to San Antonio for the weekend and flew in a girl that I had met up north of Dallas. We kicked it around San Antonio for a while and then we decided to head on down to Mexico, do a little shopping and drink a little tequila, well, we did drink some tequila and do some other things and as we were fixing to come back across the border into Texas, massive storms was heading out of the plains heading our way. I can't remember how many hours it took us to get from Nuevo Laredo to Kerrville but I know we missed the concert. But at the time I was with a girl that made me temporarily feel good again. We were just two souls coming out of Mexico just looking for a good time and feeling free. Those days are long gone and all I have is memories but I still got Waylon's music that's never changed. I just recently heard of you and the first song I heard was goodbye Time which blew me away which this song did too. You nailed it. You took me back to Mexico Compadre if only for a moment.
