"Saving multiple times" *violently nods head*

My catching ritual was to press the B - A - L - L buttons in sequence over and over until the ball stopped shaking

I'm pretty sure saving the game twice in a row is a PTSD response.

"You only get one chance at catching a legendary in each playthrough" Hasn't been true ever since Platinum came out

8:39 In Scarlet and Violet they do. I decided to try and complete all the classes and in the math class they ask if "If you have $2000 and each pokeball is $200, how many pokeballs do you get?" They tell you the answer is 11 because you get a free premier for every 10 pokeballs.

These are mine:
- Always save at least three times
- give every pokemon a nickname. Always name the starter after someone special. Like, my first ever starter? She's named after my childhood best friend.
- always press A in the rythm of the pokeball shaking when catching new pokemon
- The starter is always the star of the team. Always at least one level higher than the rest, always gotta be the pokemon who can save the day if things look dark
- if stoutland is in the game, use stoutland (it's my absolute favorite pokemon. It's perfection.)
- always read waaaay too much into every pokemon in your team. Give them an actual personality to the point that you get so attached you'd cry if you lost the safefile
- always talk to your pokemon as if they can hear you. Scream at them. Ask them to please get that one hit in. Beg wild pokemon to let you catch them. Bargain with the legendaries. They can hear you. It doesn't matter if the console doesn't have a microphone.

One unspoken rule I believe in is using your favorite Pokemon on every team like how Ash always has Pikachu with him. In every region and every playthrough, I use a different team, but my favorite Pokemon is always on my team no matter what

You never evolve shiny pokemon that have a bad shiny in evolution

My own personal rule.

-Set battle rules (I will only switch pokemon mid battle turn)
-I will always have my starter in my team
-I will never use any healing items mid-battle (if the NPC uses a healing item, I will use the same item and the same amount)

Another unspoken rule in pokemon is that you will go back to a specific place just for the music.

POV on the master ball one: "The perfect time doesn't exist"
Me, a loyal Palkia fan and shiny hunter when the color scheme 65% matches

One of my unspoken rules I go by in any Poke’mon game is to rotate team members after one hits a level so that every member has a chance to be in the front

heres my ones:

no Pokémon in my party can be higher level then my starter
try to get fire grass and water pokemon
try not to use potions in a gym unless the gym leader heals or the situation is desperate

My unspoken rules
-Keep starter change starter for different plays
-grab any and all items on the ground
-battles are set, animations are off
-beat any and all trainers in the game
-catch all pokemon in poke balls
-no repeats (if i used a pokemon in one game cant use it in anymore)
-team must be around the same level
- team must have moves to cover any and all weakness

There’s also one big unwritten rule in pokemon:

I save my Master Ball because I suffer PTSD from the gen 2 roaming legendaries

I have a couple headcanons
-every remake of old games with new generation system like fired or heartgold are just regions buying tech from other regions and adapting it to its culture (sorry if i have bad spelling, english is not my first language)

-Gloria has a level 100 grookey because she was too focused on ev training her mons and shouting at people (and committing arson) that she didn't know that starters could evolve even though hop tried telling her.

-Gloria is scared of dawn because her team is REALLY weak to ice and dawn has a weavile (for cynthia's garchomp)
