Here are two ‘Artist’ kits from the Vexpression “Arsenal” pack for the TD-50X - Gavin Harrision and Simon Phillips. Love the punchiness of these kits!
I am ALWAYS tweaking sounds to dial in kits that are responsive to my ear and how I play. In this example, I am showing off the Vexpression sound pack, but, I did some additional tweaking – Reverb, tuning, cymbal/hat choices. That said, these kits are pretty much how they sound with the Vex sound pack.
Gear used in this clip: Roland TD-50X with the VExpression Arsenal, Vater sticks, Audio Technica headphones, Yamaha MG10XU mixer and Zoom Q2n.
