Gorilla tape is no joke. I once left a roll on the trunk area of my sedan after working on a project in the dark. The next morning I got to work 20 miles from home and it was still stuck to my trunk. It rained too.

One improvement that I think you should do is to put some type of floater on it so in case you drop in the water or whatever

Love the idea! Ive found a nice twist to it: use the lighter brand "clipper". They are refillable so you dont have to switch tape every time lighter dies out.
