I've seen Static-X with Wayne and with Xer0. I can't put into proper words how well-done and respectful of Wayne the entire production and reunification of the band has been. It is absolutely in character for the band and for Wayne and I, for one, think it would have fit his morbid sense of humor quite well.

"Some complications happening within the band" is an extremely polite way of putting it.

I am firmly in the "Wayne would have loved the entire idea of Xero" camp.

I met Wayne back in 1999. It was their first tour for Wisconsin Death Trip. They played at a little venue in Milwaukee called the Modjeska Theatre that doesn't even exist anymore. We hung out at the bar after the show. I was only 17. A friend I was with was wearing a Type O Negative shirt and Wayne kept praising them and saying how bad he wanted to tour with them. Two great front men gone from music too soon. Wayne Static and Peter Steele. That would have been a kick ass tour too! Anyway, before Tera and drugs got a hold of him, Wayne was always getting to know his fans. Really cool guy. RIP

I really miss the good old days when you could discover new music by playing videogames or watching movies, it was amazing and you had a lot to talk about with your friends...

Static-X playlist still on my feed and it will never disappear

What Edsel said in that interview was kinda beautiful and poetic. Wayne gets to kinda live on in every performance.

Wow, I didn’t know Wayne Static and Billy Corgan were once in a band together, that’s cool.

I've seen Static-X with Xero singing twice now. I'll be seeing them again this summer at Sick New World. Phenomenal show. I hope Static-X continues to release new material.

I think they reformed as respectfully as possible. I think as time goes on, keeping the static x as a legacy act will help heal those hurt by the loss of Wayne.

I met Wayne once at a small club in Boston. It was back when they were touring for Wisconsin Death Trip. I think Dope and Chevelle were the openers. I asked him how he gets his hair to stay up like that. He told me Elmer's Glue. Idk if he was BS-ing me or not but I just said "Cool". lol

Finally, I never expected Finn to make a video of my favorite band. Thanks!

I met Wayne after a show and he was by far the coolest mofo I’ve ever met. I’ve met a few bands before and had some hits and misses but the hour I spent just bullshiting with him I’ll never forget. RIP Wayne #keepingdiscoevilsince99

I saw Static-X with Wayne a few times and even met him and his wife. I actually saw Tony while with Soulfly, too. When they reformed I went to see Static-X after Wayne's death & while it did bother me a lot at first, I must say they do give a lot of respect towards wayne, and edsel dope kills it as their new lead.

That's a pretty creative way to keep the band going. Edsel does a great job with matching the sound I didn't even know it was somebody else singing, thought they were chopped up tracks.

In June of '99, I went to see Fear Factory by myself. I'd never heard of the two opening bands (Static-X and System of a Down). I was having a beer near an alley near the tour trucks, and I saw some guy with a completely insane haircut and braided beard hauling gear out of the truck. I struck up a conversation with him and told him how I'd been into Fear Factory since their early days, loved industrial metal, blah blah blah. He asked if I'd heard the other bands, and I told him that I hadn't. He told me that they were pretty good and that I should make sure I didn't miss Static-X (whom admittedly I was in no rush to see). I thanked him, finished my beer, and made it inside before the show. The lights dropped, the music started, and that's when I realized I'd been talking to the lead singer of Static-X. He had been totally coy, didn't tell me who he was, and had been totally chill. I loved their set, bought their album at the merch booth, and was a fan after that. I chose not to go see the new incarnation of them, but a friend told me it was seeing an awesome Static-X cover band. I still don't know how I feel about that, but people gotta work, right?

It's so crazy you have uploaded this, I have recently been on a Static X binge and looking up interviews with him and Tera just yesterday. Cant believe it will be 10 years since his death later this year.
