Milford Sound is indeed spectacular & worth it if you can get there, even if it's not cheap. Kea are Alpine parrots, extremely intelligent & curious. You definitely do not want to mess with them despite how cute & beautiful they are. That far south, it is always a good idea to have gear for all weather conditions, sunscreen, extra layers, *and* raincoats. Insect repellent against the sandflies are essential if you don't want to get eaten by them. For keeping your smaller devices dry as the cruise heads toward waterfalls, Ziploc bags are a cheap simple solution.

Theres also a really cool little place to stay on the way at Knobs Flat.Quite cheap and has a really awesome walk to a waterfall, need to take food and drinks cause there are no shops.Also it's pronounced more like tea-r-now 😄
