This has to be one of the best podcasts. Ever! Okay, so I'm not the queen of podcast viewing (only really this past year did I start), but this was great! I started sock knitting over the summer (I tried some years ago but for some reason ran away from it) and I bought some of your patterns at the start (which are written so well, thank you!). I only just now...October '21... caught this podcast. I hear you on so many levels here: I have kids that are 13 and 11 and my 13-year old son can be that jerk, too (we love him though) and chronic illnesses (Type 1 diabetes, for one). Your stories are great and it was nice to hear about your background. I just drove through Oklahoma for the first time, this summer, with said kids and husband--what an amazing state (we're geologists so extra nerdy about the scenery). Okay--is this a comment anymore or a letter? (=. Thanks for the video!

I loved The Guest List, have you read her other book, The Hunting Party, too?? Marvellous xxxx

I totally love that you highlighted how much WORK it takes to be hippie-dippie and crunch. Laughed out loud, for sure. We're about 2 years into homesteading and homeschooling -- all that good crunch. But today I'm folding laundry and watching your (very entertaining!) podcast instead of doing all of the chores. :D

You are totally Amazing…I am in awe of your authenticity, honesty and just being human: I would literally move back to Oklahoma just to take sock 🧦 knitting classes from you! You need to offer a bundle package of your sock patterns because I literally have all of your patterns in my Raverly cart right now!😂🤣

I did not know there was any one else that wanted to expand your talents and watched many videos but never moved forward with anything. I want to knit but it's intimidating and I have seen many videos on knittings but can't get up the nerve to begin.
Your first video was super great. You have such a bubbly personality.

I watched a few of your episodes before I got to your first. It’s great and you’re a natural at it. I live in Alberta in Canada, so we have totally different weather, our snow is just melting. I can’t mention everything at once either. But I love your socks. Also, I was just diagnosed with IBD. But thankfully it’s mild

well, I hope one day I go into remission for my IBS. It is debilitating so I totally get it and really felt some kind of connection to you for that. It IS embarrassing and I can't trust going out to restaurants because the chef will say the food is okay and it won't be. Oh, but a tiny bit won't hurt you, will it? I can't have that at all, not even a fingertip size...so it does control a lot of my day every day and despite doing many different things I have it and it's stress related so it's hard to shake. I can't believe that I didn't find you until a couple of months ago. I've watched the latest videos and now that I'm on a work trip teaching art or fibre workshops, I'm going to binge on your first videos so thanks for taking the time to do it. Your book is out too and it's on preorder right now so I'll wait for that. Love to you and take care, now back to episode 1 your introduction. Lu in Australia

Yey! A fellow IBD warrior... not yey exactly, but you know what I mean. I have Crohns, so can relate on that side of things, and am working on my sock knitting. I have yet to complete an actual pair though. loved this first vid, you did great, looking forward to more.

Hi,
Just found you. So excited to start knitting a pair of socks. Will you start podcasting again?
Thanks so much.
(Former hippie. I’m 70 years young, hahaha)
Have a very nice rest of your weekend.

You teach me to knit socks, I’ll teach you to make soap ! 😊. I had a soap business and sold through an art gallery in St. Paul, at craft shows and from my website for almost six years. Trust me that once you have the equipment, soap making is much easier than you’d think.
Knitting on the other hand ....😳
