this will be such a joy for you to see Andrea, when the time comes that you are finished grieving. Your laughter over anemone.... The light of love in your eyes and faces. How wonderful, that you were able to share this podcast and knitting with Andrew. Such a rare gentleman.

I too decided to start at the beginning and watch all the missed podcasts. My heart breaks for your family over the loss of Andrew. Some day as you emerge from the deep pain of loss these videos will be comforting.

I love it that this lovely “manly man” looked so adoringly at his wife, got into his wife’s knitting passion so authentically and participated so seriously - gave positive convo inputs and helped with math challenges during the podcast. Bravo.

Thank you for making me laugh. When you said the color of the yarn Andrew used was Sea Enema, he graciously corrected you that he thought it might be Sea Anenome. Andrews always so polite. Andrea, you are fortunate to have all these episodes to remember him by. Love.

Decided to watch from the beginning as have never seen the earlier episodes, such a lovely family and so sad that you have lost Andrew at such a young age to a terrible disease.

Like others, I’ve seen more recent episodes and wanted to start at the beginning. Fun to see how you started. What a lovely family.

Yes, I'm going through the older episodes now and it is such a treat! There is a sparkling sort of electricity or energy between you two and the camera but it's more than that. Some things were just meant to be.

I have been watching your more recent episodes, but it was so fun to go back and watch your first and how you got started. Thank you so much for sharing.😊

This came up in my suggestions. So right away I clicked. I was ok until Andrew’s introduction. I was hit with such a bittersweet wave of emotion.

Thank you, Andrew, Andrea, Madeleine and Jack. For being who you are, for sharing so much... skill, music, fiber people, inspiration, hikes +++. I’ve been knitting 68 years, and still I learn something new each episode. I saw the 70s & 80s episodes as they were available. Now I’ve started back at episode 1. From the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina, USA, I send you fond appreciation for ALL your hours & hours of hard work! ~ Romilda (Rom like CD) Wilder

Hi there, This is my first ever time leaving a comment to anyone. I am a very new knitter, Just making my first ever socks. Today husband and I went to the little yarn shop an hour from our home and while getting more needles and 2 skeins of beautiful extra fine Merino, Polyamide, Cashmere wool blend I had a really nice conversation with the owner of the shop and we were telling each other the podcasts we watch. She told me of yours and I went home and watched. Your podcast was very interesting and your whole family is really lovely. I will continue to enjoy watching you all and I'm sure I will learn a lot as well. Thank you, Great Job.

I just started watching the episodes over again, because they just put me in a good frame of mind. And I've learnt so much. Thank you, Andrea and Andrew!

I’ve been recovering from surgery so decided to start watching from the beginning of your channel. I recently resumed knitting a project that I started 2017. Had to put it on hiatus due to needing surgeries on my spine, my dominant hand, rotator cuff repair, and now my knee. Though I’m getting physical therapy, my stamina is not back yet.

I just found your podcast and loved the story. I was with you completely. We are of a similar age and I am from Melbourne. My cousin lived in Albury, more recently Yakandandah and Mt Beauty. I spent my holidays in Albury, it was my second home. I know the habedashery that you are talking about, so exciting. There is nothing like a country haberdashery, absolute treasures. I can still see the thin cardboard boxes full of Bonds undies, ladies nylons and hair nets, tubes of buttons and collections of Cleckheaton and Patons wool their colours displayed in a rainbow in their cellophane bags. There was a haberdashery not so long ago in Daylesford where we had a caravan. The tartan kilts remind me of Fletcher Jones, that wonderful store where you could buy top quality tailored clothing, all Australian made ( remember the old days when we actually had a fashion industry before it moved off shore ). Mum bought my school uniform from Fletcher Jones, blazer, pleated skirt, jumper and the occasional woollen kilt. Now everything is stretch knit. Like you, I spent my childhood in Home Economics and Sewing classes where we stiched and knitted. I also had a wild knitting phase with 10 different wools and multi patterns. I stopped knitting after completing my first boyfriend jumper in an Alpaca mix in 8 ply with a kookaburra on the front. It was extra large and by the time it was nearly finished my Canadian boyfriend had decided Mt.Hotham was just not Whistler and returned home. There is an old wives take about knitting for your boyfriend. I remember casting off in tears. I have always been a good knitter then moved onto crochet, but after a 1.8m square 3 ply baby blanket that took me from baby one to baby four to finish, I couldn't look at a crochet hook for years. I have been collecting wool for years so yes I have a stash, but I miss those haberdasherys where I would flick through pattern books, and you new they were tried and tested patterns. Now it's Ravelry.
My 3 daughters all knit and 2 are currently making socks in our continuing Covid lockdown. Our favourite wools are from Bendigo Woollen Mills. The last few of yet another of our dying industries. Thanks for memory lane Andrea. I have already bought a Kim Hargreaves book, love the patterns.

Though I found Fruity Knitting months ago, I hadn’t had time to start at the beginning and listen to every episode. I’ve gone back to Episode #1 and am so enjoying getting to know you both. Your style is friendly and soothing, very conducive to slowing our spinning world down so that we can really savor our knitting.

Love the inclusion of classical music. It's also great to hear aussies talking about knitting (as a fellow aussie).

At a recent virtual meeting of my local knit group, I asked for recommendations of podcasts to watch during these difficult times, and was given a wonderful gift: the name of your show! Just finished the first episode and absolutely loved it. Now I am thrilled to know that I have 99 more episodes ahead of me. Thanks so much.for helping me get through this and hopefully come out on the other end with some wonderful new garments :).
