Morning Light

A study of Terrence Malick.

As part of my work with Elizabeth and Sean, I study the work of master filmmakers to learn from them and imitate them. (Yes, I have a great job with Greenlawn Films!) One of the filmmakers I most admire is Terrence Malick, who reveals the beauty of the created world unlike any other artist I've seen.

We just got two wonderful new cameras, and for my first exercise, I tried to film a simple nature scene in imitation of Malick's style. Hope you enjoy it.
